Polynia

about

This song has a long history with me. It was recorded to be part of 'Admiring the Impact,' but the version of the song at that time was lacking in many ways. Once 'Pilotless' started coming together, I realized that it could fit quite nicely with the other songs in style and in subject matter. The original versions, entitled "Cayuga" in some folders and "Skaneateles" in others are dated from 2006 to 2007. Polynias, by the way, are open areas of water surrounded by ice. I found it a fitting title for a song about a person who is constantly surprising and very cold, personally.

lyrics

I’d like to ask you, as I pass you, would you mind?
Are you aware what you do?
No it’s all of the time
It’s enervating, without fading, alright
Holding a war
In my headphones

I’d like to see you, in a new view, tonight
You are aware what you do
And it’s no surprise
The weather’s holding, it’s a small thing, to you
You lead the way
To the boundary
I didn’t notice, that you owned this, ability

So you like it
But you hide it
Just so you know, oh
We never felt the same thing
At the right height
In lunar light
Just so you know, oh
I‘ve never seen the same way
So you like it
But deny it all
It seems wrong
But I’m offering

You had me then
You had me then
You had me then
You have again
