Less Talk, More Decisive Measure

from Pilotless by Blue Chain Language

/

about

The original version of this song is pretty atrocious. I will definitely include it on the next Klee-Sides. It has a lot of big brass samples and dancey weirdness. I always try to have a tone-setter at the beginning of an album. The name describes my thought process during the song, I am sort of floundering about in my own head at the beginning and then I give myself a type of ultimatum.

lyrics

Wake up swiftly
Caffeine for currency
Wake up from dreaming
Less sleep for currency
Well I’ve been living like this for a while
Gears are grinding at the thought of leaving here
I’ve been contemplating for a year still
Right now, where am I?
Caught in the lights, unprepared for the brightness

Well I’ve been thinking like this for a while
Head is humming at the thought of leaving you
I’ve been practicing all broken-hearted
Right now, where am I?
Caught in the lights, unprepared for the brightness
But I’ll love you like I’ve prepared all my life

Let’s start this over on another route
Here we go
Here we go
Less talk, more decisive measure
Now you know
Now you know
