Lesson of the Downpour

from All Impulses by Blue Chain Language

/

about

These lyrics were lying around from a certain period where I was doing nothing for myself musically or creatively. Even with my songs that I write when I am upset about something you can hardly tell. This is about a frustration towards a certain type of person and the things they were doing. I'll keep it vague. The original version of this song is all mid-tempo and much less glitch-orientated with a gigantic chorus. The chopped vocal outro was a last-minute addition as well.

lyrics

Even if nothing else, you've got the drama down
Building material painted in the colors of blood
But this allegedly is new to you
Even after all the time spent sifting through the looks
Even if nothing else, you've got the drama down

You have the breaks and I have endless tidal waves
Until I'm gone
Everything else, while my arrival's coming in
Gets me back home

Every movement, every minute, every one, a con
Every motion, every moment, every one, all a con

Even if nothing else, you've got your story down
Look to the left or right, never the camera
But this resilient appearance took
Even after all the times you shifted for the looks
You say "It's all in how you put it on."
You've got the drama down

You have the breaks and I have endless tidal waves
Until I'm gone
Everything else, while my arrival's coming in
Gets me back home
