Fluorescent

about

Probably one of my riskier songs as far as subject matter goes and probably the most bare-bones R&B influenced song I have written to date. It's a song about observation and interjection and the results of acting like somebody else once in a while.

lyrics

Too many girls, breaking the rules losing alibis
Come out at night
It’s safe to say with plans of taking lives
Everyone knows, but offer the world for a second glance
I don’t know why
I fall in love every night

If you feel like I do tonight
I know you’re mine
If you feel like fluorescent light

Too many times, too many tries, from this company
She lets her eyes
Cut through the room finally landing on mine
I could be fine, tell me you're mine from the other side
I’m paralyzed
I thought I knew better
Out of nowhere, my heart takes over my body
I’ll reconcile
My mind is always one or two steps behind

Let's go, I'll drive
